Our men of God are pernicious symbiotic beings that are equally parasitic in nature.-- by Rahmon Gbadamosi
NB: PLS YOUR COMMENT IS VALUABLE

Foremost, I do not write to blaspheme genuine men of God who distaste publicity, disassociate from all forms of worldly things, submissively devote their whole time to commune with God in solitude and preach without intent to gather mammoth congregation. Those men of God that express their opinion on happenings in our society without sentiments, fear, fame seeking and money influence, are not targeted even as we have them in paucity and never compromise their holiness.

Majority
of our missioners, from both religious and social perspectives, are distinctly
characterized with sacredness, righteousness and wisdom which raise them high
in social strata. They are a set of most respectable personalities in our
society. We recognise them as worthiness for behavourial emulation. However,
their esteem has been eroded by their improprieties.
Nobody
will castigate any clergy man who really involves in politics directly or
indirectly because it is no sin and not aberration so far that he has good conviction to serve
people righteously.
What
being brought to our hearing and view by different news media reports on
incessant immorality and crimes committed by these men of God which are
disgraceful, disappointing and degrading to their image.
We
saw it on TV, even fully covered comprehensively by Channels TV, a pastor in
the eastern part of the country was
shown showering all praises and adulatory words on both President Jonathan and
his wife in last year December visits to
his church at the front of his massing congregation. Shortly, in less or more
than a month, this pastor discredited and disparaged GEJ’s performance in
second day of the President’s Visit to his church again. His action
baffled many which they assumed to be
questionable. Why should a man of God with esteemed repute, endowed with
large congregation could easily lost his
moral steadfastness.
Was
he blindfolded and being absentminded from observing GEJ ‘s performance in the
first instance before adulating him? Honestly, there was no sense in what he did
because he was inconsistent, incoherent and untruthful. Perhaps,I suspect and
term his reaction as betrayal or disappointment of his expectation which he
anticipated for worthy compensation from GEJ for his initial gesture which was
not actualised or ungrateful recognised.
Though,
he is outrightly entitled to make his opinion, notwithstanding his motive is unrighteous and deceptive.
A
week ago, Gov. Ameachi alleged that the Presidency and PDP doled out N7 million
(Seven Million Naira) to some pastors to preach against Buhari that he would
islamise the country. This allegation has ever been dismissed by concerned
parties but another pastor countered the dismissal by affirming the allegation
to be true.
Peradventure, if the allegation was
actually transpired , those pastors involved were unholy and shameful. On the
other hand, Gov Amaechi is a Nigerian politician. Our politicians strengthen
and survive on real story and mostly fabricated story(propaganda). Therefore, I
have nothing to say about him but what of the witnessing pastor that attested
to it without concrete evidence by drawing himself into the controversy. His
attitude can be described as having debauchery with dishonesty.
Another renowned man of God in his prayer point uttered curse on
the enemies of Mr President saying that
gate of hell was opened for GEJ’s enemies. This harsh prayer took over the
social medial viral trend that was absolutely rebuked and condemned.
Whether the prayer was to impress
GEJ or unconsciously uttered it without giving thought to the consequence of
such utterance. We regarded men of God as
wise person that should know the right words and decent statements that
will bring harmony not like the one made by this pastor which roused anger and
bitterness. Imagine, his congregation was reported to be nearly tore-up due to
partisan and horrible statements.
There are universities, colleges,
secondary school etc which are owned and managed by some man of God in the name
of their ministries. It is great idea and initiative to complement government
inadequacy and in efficiency in education. Nevertheless, the tuition fees is
highly exhorbitant , unaffordable by common people and underprivileged
students.
A renowned pastor mentioned in this
article owned a University which the poor children in his church cannot
patronise because of its expensiveness. Religious communities or societies are
established to propagate their respective faiths and provide welfare for the
poor ones among them and around them. Also these religion establishments are
run like NGO but I do not get it the reason for crazy fee !
They are one that preach salvation
and revival here and there without practicability to revive the future of poor
children that need better education to guarantee fruitful future for them. What they they are doing do not represent
their preaching. What we see is deceit, zealousness for luxury and wealth,
serious cheating.
What an absurdity for a man of God
trafficking hard drugs. Lagos State Police command arrested one pastor that
peddled hard drugs. In his confessional statement on how he traded cocaine
outside and within the country. He did it without being suspected by his church
members.
Also we have witnessed different
accounts of both Muslim and christian clerics being caught with human parts of
infants, toddlers, teenagers and adults. Atimes caught with lively victims.
They acquired them for ritual ingredient to make money and, all sorts of
nonsense, in sake of spiritual protection. This is wickedness of highest degree
and heartless acts.
Honestly, I am very sick, terrified,
irritated and disappointed in our so called man of God that many of us have
deeply unreserved respects for and firm confidence in them.
Without mincing words, I can simply described
them as pernicious symbiotic beings that are equally parasitic in nature.
Only God knows who worships him.
